The Wood Between Worlds by BindingOfAaron The Wood Between Worlds by BindingOfAaron
Photoshop CS5

From the Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis. The Magician's Nephew

I saw a lot of drawing of this scene, yet the ones I saw all had small, regular trees.  When I read this in Magician's Nephew, I saw the trees much bigger than your average size.

I'm going to erase the way I imagined this scene and replace it with this image. It's so much more mystically beautiful than what I imagined.

Really?...Aww, Thanks. :)  I'll be doing a scene from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe next as soon as I finish the book.  Which should be by next week or two.  (I'm a slow reader, I enjoy visualizing every piece..plus other things that may interfere).

Oh, that is quite a cool take on it. :) It's not how I see it, but it is very pretty.

Thanks!  Yes, I understand.  I went through many drafts myself to try to imagine this scene.  I wondered about the fog, since the book describes the area to be without wind, but I also think it adds to the dreamy, warm haze the characters find themselves in and forgetting about how they got there.

Thanks! I'm very pleased that it is just how you imagined it too.  You are more than welcome to watch me to see more.  An amazing girl let me borrow her Narnia books to read since I have never read them, and I plan on doing more fan art for each book as I go through.  A scene from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is next!
